Sturt University began its first year of Podiatry
education, as an undergraduate degree course, in 2001.
The course was initiated through the needs of rural
Victoria and NSW to improve access to Podiatrists and
has drawn students primarily from country areas.
Although this course is still in its infancy, Sturt
University has a long history in the provision of health
